Dacia Dokker camping box DIY manual (adjustable to any MPV)
This website is supported by our visitors. I sometimes earn affiliate commissions when you click through the links to affiliate partners and products, that I have selected manually and would or have bought myself – at no cost to you.
This month’s picks include a detailed Dacia Dokker DIY camping box manual that you can do yourself for any MPV – all you need to do is adjust the measures to fit your car.
Dacia Dokker DIY camping conversion (camping box) manual
The manual is from Jochen & Ramona. It is in German – all you need to do is open the page in Google Chrome, right-click any white area and select “Translate to English”. I will translate the most important bits here. The idea is that if you get all the plywood bits cut according to their list, all you need to do then is assemble. Like a children’s toy ;).
Materials
- 12 mm thick plywood – good stability and still light enough (~€200)
- get it cut at the store, or do it yourself if you have a table saw or circular hand saw with a guide rail
- exact pieces and their measurements can be found in the article
- full extension drawers (€40)
- water canister, piano hinge and other attachments (€23)
Tools
- jigsaw
- cordless screwdriver
- sandpaper
- Wolfcraft dowel master (or similar jig kit – it is required for precise dowel drilling and makes the work a lot easier)
- Wolfcraft dowel inserter (or similar – it allows the previously drilled dowel holes to be transferred.)
- Routing machine (only required if, like the authors, you want to put on the middle rear support using a fold. Alternatively, you can do something like this with a table saw and hidden cuts. Or get it done by a carpenter)
